Philanthropy
Our national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. On a chapter level, we participate in, and hold several different events to do our part in educating and increasing awareness both on campus and in our community.

The month of October is a big month for us, as it is recognized nationally as the official month of Breast Cancer Awareness, and is when many of our events are held.

On campus we can be found passing out shower cards and pink ribbons to remind our own classmates and friends that Breast Cancer knows no age limitations. We also hold a Think Pink Party, open to the campus and community. In the past, we have had guests such as Nancy Brinker, the founder of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Rosemary Wood Dodd, a local artist.

Please remember to always

Our sisters also have also traditionally participated in and assisted with the Macon Race for the cure. During our Formal Recruitment, we also create items such as boo-boo bunnies and bookmarks to give out at the race to those who are involved in their own personal fight against breast cancer.

During the month of October, Omicron hosts the Pink Crown Affair to help raise awareness and educate the community about breast cancer. The event features a guest speaker, auction, dinner, and dancing. The profits of this event are then donated to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation who then in turn donates it to our national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.

We are also partnered with Yoplait in our efforts to fight Breast Cancer. Please save your lids and give them to a Zeta!
